At the edge of the Jaboque Wetland in Engativá, the Music House emerges as a key strategy within a Master Plan to mitigate suffocating urban pressures (future ALO, 80th Street, Transmilenio, 72nd Street, El Dorado Airport, 63rd Street) that have isolated the territory and choked its valuable ecological structure. This fundamental intervention seeks to alleviate these tensions, transforming a necrosed area.
Conceived as an essential urban facility, the Music House responds to the artistic and cultural needs of the Garcés Navas and Engativá UPZs, focusing on musical education. Its design is based on the idea that the building is the stage: an internal and external platform allowing for the simultaneous exposure and enjoyment of music, democratizing the sonic experience for all audiences without genre segmentation.
