Cartagena, despite its crucial contribution to the national GDP (2.2%) and departmental GDP (67% of Bolívar's), operates with its tourism, productive, and residential ("Behind the Scenes") facets in isolation. El Pozón neighborhood, a reception point for vulnerable populations, including victims of armed conflict, highlights the urgent need for an effective connection between its residents and the production and tourism centers, which generate the majority of employment opportunities.
This project proposes housing as a productive tool, designed for gradual family evolution and integration with other urban scales. It aims for architecture and urbanism to act as platforms for social transformation, addressing inequity and revitalizing marginalized communities.
